Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or using Vinca you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app. We may update these terms as Vinca changes; when we do, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page, and continuing to use the app means you accept the new version.
Who can use Vinca
You must be at least 13 years old to use Vinca, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live — in some countries that age is higher. Vinca is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Vinca is not medical advice
Vinca predicts periods, ovulation and the fertile window from the dates you enter. Those predictions are estimates for gentle awareness and education — nothing more. Vinca is not a medical device, is not contraception, and must not be relied on to prevent or achieve pregnancy. It never replaces a doctor, midwife or other healthcare professional. Please talk to one about anything that concerns you.
Anything you read from another member in Community is their personal experience, not professional advice, and we don't verify it.
The Community rules
Community only works if it stays safe. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour. When you post or reply, you agree not to share anything that is:
- hateful, harassing, threatening, or an attack on someone's identity
- sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise obscene
- an attempt to identify, expose or contact another member off-app
- impersonating another person, a clinician, or Vinca itself
- spam, scams, advertising, or promotion of a product or service
- medical instruction presented as professional advice, or anything encouraging self-harm, disordered eating, or unsafe treatment
- illegal, or an infringement of someone else's rights
Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it
Every post and reply has a Report action, and you can block any member so you never see them again. Blocking is private — the person you block is never told.
We review reported content and remove anything that breaks these rules within 24 hours, and we suspend the accounts of members who post it. We may remove content or suspend an account at our discretion, with or without a report. If we suspend yours, the app will tell you why and how to appeal.
What you post stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you write. You give us permission to store your posts and show them to other people using Vinca — that's simply what posting means. You confirm that what you post is yours to share and doesn't break anyone else's rights.
Remember that Community posts are public to everyone using the app. Please don't put anything in a post that you wouldn't want read widely, including details that could identify you.
Your data
Your cycle, dates, moods, symptoms and notes stay on your device — we can't read them. Community posts live on our server under the pen name you choose. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ads and the free app
Vinca is free, funded by ads. You agree not to interfere with how ads are served. We don't give advertisers your health data — see the Privacy Policy for how ad personalisation works and how to decline it.
The app as it is
We work hard to keep Vinca accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" — we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a prediction will be right. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or from anything another member posts. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived under the law where you live.
Ending things
You can stop using Vinca at any time — delete the app, and your on-device data goes with it. We may suspend or end your access to Community if you break these rules. Write to us at the address below to have your Community history and anonymous identifier erased.
